Donald Trump And Vladimir Putin Appear In Billboard Ad To Make World Great Again [Fact Check]

PUTIN_RUSOAll throughout the U.S. presidential election, there was discussion about President-elect Donald Trump’s potential relationship with Russia’s president Vladimir Putin Vladimir Putin. Now, there appears to be a photograph depicting the two on a billboard with the words “Let’s make the world great again — together.” The slogan is an obvious takeoff of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

Republicans and Democrats alike are struggling to assess Trump’s apparent policy priorities, from improving U.S. relations with Russia to rethinking participation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. So, an image like this would certainly leave a lot of people confused.

While some people on social media doubted the existence of that billboard image, it is indeed real as shown by research from Snopes. Check out the image below first.

Finally, Snopes referenced an article from the Washington Post which included the image. The story was about how Russians in the city of Obninsk were planning to rally in support of a Trump presidency. You can read some of the text below.

“The demonstration was organized [by] Artyom Mainas, a 27-year-old blogger in Obninsk, a nuclear-research center 60 miles south of Moscow. He decided to act after seeing news from the United States about demonstrations against Trump’s election.

“I believe it is very important to support him here in Russia,” said Mainas.”
